Congratulations to Team Janet on winning the 2nd annual #DocoGames Epic Modernism Tournament!

This one was a nail biter, but Janet Minker pulled ahead in the home stretch, raising an impressive $1,860 to support the education and advocacy efforts of °®¶¹app. Kudos to Katie Horak, who gave Janet a run for her money in the final round, and raised a total of $975 for the day. Rounding out the top three was Hannah Simonson, with a solid $595.

Thank you to all of the participants who "volunteered as tribute," and thank you to all who donated - today and throughout the year - we couldn't do it without you!

If you didn't get a chance to join the fun on Giving Tuesday, there's still time to participate in our end of the year Annual Appeal.

About the Doco Games

#DocoGames is a day-long tournament featuring eight °®¶¹app superfans fighting to save a building they love.

Armed with razor-sharp adjectives like “rectilinear”, “articulated” and “brutalist”, the #DocoGames will begin promptly at 1:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, December 3rd, with three rounds of players advancing every two (2) hours. Each of the eight players will encourage friends and colleagues through social media channels to give to °®¶¹app throughout the day. The player who brings in the most money during each round will advance to face a new player, until a victor is crowned.

Round 1: 1:00 pm EST
Round 2: 3:00 pm EST
Round 3: 5:00 pm EST

Winner will be announced at the end of Round 3!

About Giving Tuesday

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.
