Through survey inventory, scholarship, and architectural discourse, °®¶¹app/Georgia supports the documentation of Georgia’s Modern architecture, landscapes, and culture.
Documentation of Georgia’s existing Modern resources seeks to assist preservation efforts. °®¶¹app/Georgia maintains a statewide inventory of these resources, known as the GA Register. This growing register documents important districts, buildings, landscapes, interiors, and public art and supports nomination of resources to the national °®¶¹app Register.
The chapter also maintains an online resource identifying important contributors to Georgia’s Modern heritage; a timeline identifying important dates; technical and historic resources; a bibliography; and photographic documentation of structures identified in the register.
Programs
°®¶¹app/Georgia contributes to the education and increased public awareness regarding the significance of the Modern Movement and its prominent buildings, landscapes, and urban design.
Advocacy
°®¶¹app/Georgia advocates the conservation of Modern buildings throughout the state.
