Founded in 2005, cf3 is a non-profit whose focus is modern design in and around the greater Cincinnati area. Their mission is to explore, uncover, educate, preserve, appreciate and document modern architecture and design. Attending educational and other events, members explore the area's rich architectural and design history. Cf3 believes education through engagement offers not only social experiences, but also fosters awareness to preserve and protect the area's mid-century heritage.
A few examples of these efforts include: working with Cincinnati city council to allocate funds to uncover and , "Spacewalk," (1970) at the Duke Energy Center, sponsoring Elizabeth Garber to read from her memoir "Implosion," and discuss life with her modernist architect father, Woodie Garber, and saving sand cast murals by Edgar Tafur (1960) from certain demolition.
