We are happy to report that the first-ever °®¶¹app silent auction was a resounding success. The total amount raised towards our cause of continuing to save the modern sites you love was $28,188! It was an amazing assortment of items on offer, from one-of-a-kind pieces of modern history such as Mies van der Rohe's copy 1954 office copy of the Herman Miller catalogue to unique experiences like a hosted dinner at Louis Kahn's Margaret Esherick House. We had great fun organizing the auction, and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
A sincere thank you to all of our donors, many of which are long-standing friends, members, foundations and architectural firms. Your donations were critical to the success of the auction and we thank you for digging through those closests and mailing items directly to our winners. If you missed out on an item, many of the books and the coveted can be purchased outside of the auction.
Congratulations to all of the winning bidders. We would love to see the items you won in their new homes - or once we can travel again - the trips to modern sites. Please feel free to share and tag us on social media.
As we look forward to making this a regular event, if you have a modern item or expereince that you think would be great for the next auction, please reach out to us at info@docomomo-us.org.
Thank you again to everyone who participated!
