Image details

Grab the family as we take to the sidewalks of New Haven to discover buildings from the city's past and present. Learn to read a building using the language of architecture and capture your favorite details, patterns and textures along the way. This walking tour will begin and end at the International Festival of Arts & Ideas tent and will take about an hour. The program is recommended for children ages 6 to 12 to be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Our guide is Tim Hayduk, the Lead Design Educator at the Center for Architecture in New York City. Born in New Haven and raised in Bethany, visits to the Elm City inspired an early interest in architecture. He is in town as a member of °®¶¹app and pleased to lead this family-focused architectural scavenger hunt to inspire the next generation.
